Reflections for Officer Jackie Lamont Daniel
Jackie,
Happy 36th Anniversary! Remember 36 years ago, I was 17 and you were 19 years old. I am so glad we had 24 wonderful years together. I think of you everyday!
Love you still,
Janice

Jackie,
I wish you could see our grandson, Jackson. Everybody says he looks like you. I can't believe he is 4 years old. Everytime he walks by your picture at church, he says "Thats my Paw Paw Daniel"
You would be proud of Chris and Ashlyn. They have grown into responsible, caring, adults. I see you in them each time I look at them. Ashlyn has your wit and compassion for others. Chris is looking more like you the older he gets. He has my common sense. Both come and eat with us every Sunday after church which I look forward to.
Just like you said in the poem you wrote me the day you died. "We will be in Heaven some day."
Love you still,
Janice

To the loved ones of Officer Daniel, and most especially to Officer Daniel himself:
On this the twelth anniversary date of your tragic death, please know that you are remembered and missed. Rest in Peace. Your dedication and valor will never be forgotten.
My son, Larry Lasater of the Pittsburg Police Dept., was killed last year. Larry and I were born in North Carolina and still have so much family there. The loss of a N.C. officer strikes a special chord. May God bless your wife and family.
This reflection is sent for the service Officer Daniel gave to his community and the people of the state of North Carolina, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on July 28, 1994.

It will be 12 years tomorrow since I lost the love of my life. I still miss you as if it were yesterday. My heart still is broken. I can't wait until the day I meet you at our reunion in heaven.

It will be 12 years since your tour of duty ended but you have not been forgotten by those that love you so dearly and members of the Blue Family that still walk the Thin Blue Line in your honor. You are a true hero and heroes never die. Keep protecting your loved ones and visit them in their dreams to let them know you are okay. It has been over a decade but I know your loved ones still think of you everyday and will for as long as they walk this earth.

I saw your picture today and was reminded about when we worked together at Presbyterian hospital before you got on with DMV. You were a good person and I know you are resting in the arms of the lord. May god bless your family

Jackie,
It'll be ten years tomorrow, but you're not forgotten. Your memory is engraved on my heart forever.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).
We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.
These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.
...Gone, but never Forgotten....
