Reflections for Police Officer Thomas D. Hudson
Officer Hudson, 100 years ago today you made the ultimate sacrifice and in doing so, your legacy surely paved the way for numerous amazing minority men and women who would follow in your footsteps in such a noble and admirable profession. Thank you for your service and rest in peace always knowing that no passage of time will ever erase your heroic actions and sacrifice.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 93rd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Thomas, I honor you, your name, your memory and mostly for the ultimate sacrifice you paid protecting us all. Time will never diminish your sacrifice. We all gave some, but you my brother, gave all. In the words of the great Chicago running back, Walter Payton, "You're not gone until you're forgotten." We will never forget you. 87 years ago today you paid the ultimate price. Thank you for your bravery, dedication and sacrifice. May your family take comfort in the fact that you will FOREVER be a hero and NEVER be forgotten. I guess God needed another LEO in heaven, so until one day we meet, keep walking your beat on the Golden Street looking over the rest of the thin blue line. May God Bless your family, friends and colleagues.
