Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Patrol Officer Clay Hoover

Ofc Hoover...I remember that fateful day like yesterday. A short time later I went to work for MDOC and had Alberta Easter in my housing unit. I remember taking her to the hospital and the RN in the ER wanted to know "what a nice little old lady" has done to be in prison. Of course she had "her story" and I had mine. When I escorted her to control center to be told her son died at Ryan and was told Alberta had to be "watched" for the next 24 hours...I could of only hoped she would have suffered the same fate as her son. Rest in Peace......

Your sacerfice will never be forgotten, and the good reflection that you have left in the back of others eyes will never fade. I will strive in memory of you.

How awful that it has been this long and i found this - i can't say how much i remember everything, being so young, but i do. I'm Mike Pelkey's daughter (Dan Dubiel's partner for a long time and Mr. Hoover and Parker's friend as well). How emotional is it to see it all so long from when it happened and it be so real again... Mike has been sick for quite some time, we are all in Colorado. Any communication for my dad would be so great. Memories are great, but the ability to communicate again is remarkable.

Clay was my training officer in Van Buren Twp and he was good friend. He was a great cop with high standards and morals. To this day, I try to model myself after him.

It's been 18 years Clay and I have never forgotten. Brothers forever

I was just 3 years out of highschool when you were lost to us. I remember how devastating it was to the entire Detroit area community.

The FBI Agents Association Salutes you.

Rest In Peace.
