Len Rowell was a graduate of Poplarville High School in Mississippi. As School Resource Officer, I have met with Len's family and closest friends to set up a scholarship fund in his name to be awarded to a high school senior looking to pursue a career in criminal justice. This is a great honor as Len was a great officer and a great person. To Len's family, thank you for allowing me to do this. I am honored to be the person to set this up as you should be proud to have had a son, husband, and friend of such great stature. Again, thank you!

LEN, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE HOT MUGGY JUNE MORNING. IT HAS RAN THRU MY MIND A MILLION TIMES, ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT I WISHED I COULD HAVE MADE IT TO THE SCENE SOONER AND I WOULD NOT HAVE TO BE WRITING THIS MESSAGE. BUDDY YOU ARE SADLY MISSED, JUST SAVE ME A PLACE BESIDE YOU PATROLING THE STREETS OF GOLD.
