Yesterday was the 55th anniversary of the last day I saw you, You were just coming out of the local barber shop. Mother, Randy and I were in the car as she had just picked me up from school. We waved at each other as we passed by you standing at the doorway. That memory plays in my mind so many, many times and even after all these years it is still so vivid. My heart still hurts for you everyday..........

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 53rd anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.
My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Thinking about my Dad today. I appreciate all the kind words about him here. I was 3 years old when his life was taken, and all I have is a memory of what people have told me about him. I know he was a great father to me and my sister, a great husband to my mother , and a very special person to a lot of people. I think about him a lot and miss him very very much. You will never be forgotten Dad !!

We lived closed to the Holts in Tuscaloosa. My sister and his daughter Donna played together. I remember the Saturday morning when my mother told me he had been killed. All I cound think about is that Donna and Randy would have to grow up without there father. Now I have been in law enforcement for over 30 years, every time I hear of a brother or sister in law enforcement giving there all I always think of Mr. Holt.

My Dad, Mom, younger Brother, and Me... lived next door to ATF Special Agent Ralph A. Holt... and, his Wife, Daughter and Son, in Tuscaloosa, AL. Both of our families were close. We had a two story home, with a full open basement with a garage door and my Dad let Ralph keep an extra vehicle or two parked in it from time to time. I was only 13 the night Ralph and Special Agent Cooper were shot and killed. Next to my Dad, Ralph was a great role model. And, I liked to watch and think I was helping as he would work on one of his undercover cars, installing red lights, its' siren and seeing all of his radios and equipment, etc.. I admired his dedication to the ATF... and, I shall remember him always.

Although it has been 43 years my heart still aches for you everyday. No words could ever express the loss and hurt I feel for a life not shared with you. My memories of you as a young girl are cherished and I thank God for those. You will never, ever be forgotten. You are always in my heart. I will love, honor and respect your memory forever.
