I'm sorry I never got to meet you grandpa as I was born 9 years after you were killed. I know my dad missed you greatly, and all 5 of your children did a great job taking care of grandma.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 67th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Patrolman Herzog,
On today, the 61st anniversary of your death, I would like to say thank you for your service to the citizens of Austin. It's a travesty of justice that the driver of the vehicle that struck you wasn't at least charged with vehicular homicide.
