Chief Hayes, it has been 143 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and 1 year of law enforcement service.

Chief Hayes,
thank you for your service to the people of Ansonia. I grew up in Ansonia and since then have lived in new York, Wyoming, Nebraska and
The United Kingdom. of all the places I have lived, none have been as safe and as comfortable as Ansonia. In addition to thanking you, I want to say thanks to all who have served on The Ansonia police force for making Ansonia a great place to live. I always feel safe when I visit my old home town. Thank you Ansonia police officers for all that you do!
