Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I learned of you death from your grandson Emersom Varney. and how no one has ever been charged in connection with your death. I understand that some information is out there,I hope that at least one day the case will be closed. I have had the honor of knowing your daughter and grandson I just wish I could have known you. Rest in Peace Sir You served our county well.
