Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Captain Timothy Hassett

I came across this by accident doing my family research 10 years ago and feel proud every time I read it. It was a tough job then and even tougher job now. Rest in peace Uncle Tim.

Sad that I missed the ceremony for you this year. I will make it next year for sure! I see the plaque at least on a monthly basis and ur picture hung up in the office of the Olean Police Department. It makes me THAT much more proud! I also try to maintain your grave site as much as I can. I will get up there soon to start for the year. RIP

It's now been 107 years since your efforts on behalf of the city of Olean cost you your life. Your murderer has been forgotten, but you live on, a true hero.

God Bless and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful, Brother.
