Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace

Eighty four years ago today you were tragically taken from us serving the people of Pennsylvania. Know that you are remembered today and everyday for your sacrifice.

Chief Hartman remains the only officer killed in the line of duty while employed by CBPD thoughout it's eighty-two year history. Several years ago, his sacrifice was remembered by only a few officers, and presumably his family. On the 80th anniversary of his death, I submitted an article to the local paper to try to rectify that.
