Reflections for Trooper Warren Yokely Harless

I remember the day that Hero, Trooper Warren Harless, died in the line of duty in Lee Co., VA after being shot by a mentally impaired man. My deceased wife, Carolyn and I, went regularly to church with him at the Jonesville First Baptist Church. He was a great influence to me, and I personally knew him, his family, and friends and later on became a Virginia State Trooper my self, 5 years after his death.

May Trooper Harless 'Rest-in-Peace,' as He has Served His Fellow Man with Honesty, Integrity, Pride, and as long as a Virginia State Police Trooper wears Our Patch on Their shoulder and Badge on Their Chest, He Shall Not Be Forgotten!

I had the honor of meeting one of your sons this week. He spoke at a memorial service to honor my husband and another officer who was lost in the line of duty. He spoke of you and the department. How much they had supported him over the years. How they had become a family to him, his brohters, and your wife. It was the first time in weeks I felt like someone understood how I felt. It was the first time I didn't feel alone. I thank you for having such a wonderful son. I thank him for taking time to speak to my family and the Feltis family. It was truely an honor for all of us. I am sure you already know this, but your son got your good looks!! If you see Drew, tell him how much we love and miss him. How proud we are of him. I am sure you guys are having fun up there, just kicking back and relaxing. Keep a watch over all of us, as we try to watch over each other daily.
