Reflections for Investigator Terry N. Thuma
Thought of Terry today, 8/25/21.
I had the pleasure of working with Terry early in my career. He had a wonderful witty personality and was a great police officer. He left us way too early!

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 23rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace

Investigator Thuma,
On today, the 22nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Orlando. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. I have to agree with some of the previous reflections-it angers me that the POS that shot was acquitted.

I remember Terry's indominatable will and courage following his wounding. He faced his diminshed ability with grace, and was an inspiration to those who had the opportunity to know him.

Terry Thuma was a friend of mine. He was a real good man and loved law enforcement. I visited with him several times when he was in the hospital and after he was discharged. He is certainly missed.
