A man remembered with love and respect never dies but continues to live on in the hearts and minds of others.

" When you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown...faith is knowing one of two things will happen. There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly." - Barbara J. Winter

We continue to remember you Roger. You left an impact on this department that will be remembered forever. Your death has made us all change our routines so that we do nothing routine.
The thing that you are remembered for even more than your last shift is the daily walk you had with God. You are remembered more as a christain than an Officer Kill in the line of duty. Knowing you I know that is how you would want people to remember you. Until we meet.

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003).
We all grieve over the lives lost in the line of duty. I hope you can find some comfort knowing that there are countless prayers that go out for your family.
These are senseless tragedies that never seem to stop. God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.
...Gone, but never Forgotten....
