I came across your name among the many heroes on these pages and I wanted to leave a reflection. Soon it will be 35 years since your EOW but you have not been forgotten by those that love you dearly. They say with time the hurt gets easier, but is there really enough time in our short lives to ever have the broken heart pain eased. You are a true hero and heroes never die. Continue to keep watch over your loved ones and stand at their sides and protect them. Also, keep watch over those still out on patrol.

He was the best dad ever. He had a wonderful singing voice, and he and our mother (Wanda Baucum Hall, married 25 years) used to sing to us on long car trips. We like to think that somewhere he and mother are traveling toward a favorite heavenly fishing spot, harmonizing some old World War II song. The angels would stop and listen.

Boyd was also a "self-made man". He enlisted in the Navy as just a boy, working up in the ranks until one day he commanded his own vessel. He retired as a Commander in the Navy. Boyd desired to continue his public service and ran for Sheriff of Teton County. He remains an inspiration to his family and will always be loved and remembered.
