My dad's mom was Marguerite Griffin, who died in 1928, ten years before Raymond. I have no doubt that Marguerite was standing at the pearly gates to greet Raymond into heaven.
Raymond was my grandmothers brother.
So soon we lost you Raymond Griffen. May you rest in peace. Thank you for your service to mankind. You lost your life way too soon.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 74th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

I last visited my fallen family memorial 35 years ago . I have lived many miles from where Ray rests but I came back to Cleveland to see my only daughter and my two grand kids I took them to ray's memorial to show them some our family history. I visited his grave at calvary cemetary and took some pictures witch I am taking to my brothers Neylon Griffin today may we never foget.

It is certain that Patrolman Griffin's bravery did not start with the incident that led to his death. Therefore I honor him not only for the sacrifice he made, but also for the life he lived and for the service he gave.
