Victor Green was my grandfather, I never had a chance to meet him but even thou my dad his son was only 12 yes old, he was the oldest of my grandparents six children, Yes Victor Green also left behind six children who my grandmother raised alone, My dad shared stories of what he remembered of his dad to me n my brother, I feel my grandfather was a hero and would have loved to have met him, I know he watches us from heaven, he has a great grandson my first born who is a carbon copy in looks, I feel he would be proud of my children, my daughter has shared stories with me that a few times when she has been in scary unsafe circumstances she feels he’s wrapped her in his arms and kept her safe, thank you everyone who has taken time to comment

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Remembering you on your anniversary. Didn’t know so many were lost on 6/23 until one of our own was lost. You will never be forgotten.
