Your heroism and service is honored today, the 61rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Rest In Peace.

My father, Edmund J. Gilbert, 93, passed away 2 weeks ago. He was on the force from 1943 until 1968. He was a member of the Philadelphia Police Department's Motor Bandit Patrol, also, so I am sure Officer Gordon and my Dad knew each other.
I will think of Officer Gordon when I think of my Dad.

UNCLE JOHN..MY DAD YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT YOU AND HOW HE LOST HIS BEST FRIEND WHEN YOU PASSED. HE ALWAYS TOLD US HOW PROUD HE WAS OF YOU. I WAS ONLY 2 WHEN YOU DIED BUT THROUGH MY FATHERS STORIES ABOUT YOU I FELT AS THOUGH I KNEW YOU.
I AM SURE HE IS IN HEAVEN WITH YOU NOW..RIP
