Reflections for Police Officer John G. Gordon
My name is student police officer Scott Jr. The silent partner I chose is Officer John G Gordon. I chose him because he was a Dpd officer and I feel like even though it was way back before my time I should still read about this and study his story. After reading what I happened I felt kind of messed up about how he died. All he was trying to do was serve justice and stop the criminals that have been terrorizing businesses and robbing people. At least he was brave enough to take on five suspects by himself. I know this is long ago but if there’s any family members that are still out there that is in his family tree and who knows about this incident, I am sorry for your loss.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect, not even 98 years.
Rest In Peace

Officer Gordon, I come to your site Sir, to thank you for your service to Michigan and our country. Also to pay tribute to each Officer with the name of Gordon. As Michael P. Gordon from the state of Il. was the last Gordon to lay down his life for us. Officer Gordon, you will forever be rmembered as one of our Hero's. And I salute you Sir. It will be one hundred years in seven years since your tour ended, but if time last, I hope someone else will stop by and acknowledge our precious Hero's. Loving memory, Carolyn Moore mother-in-law of : Sgt. Jeffrey T. Hewitt EOW 04-04-04 Asheville, North Carolina
