To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 67th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Undersheriff Goorman - Thanks for your service to both the people of Arapahoe County and the State of Colorado. I stood in the State Assembly chambers, last Friday, when your name was read off during a resolutuion regarding the upcoming Peace Officer's memorial week. You are not forgotten.

You have never been forgotten. My father, your younger brother, spoke of you often. You died years before I was born, but your sacrifice meant the world to the people you bravely served.
