You were a hero even off duty by intervening in a robbery.Your heroism and service is honored today, the 80th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace

On today, the 75th anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of New York City. It took another year, but your murderer got the justice that he deserved.
