Your heroism and service is honored today, the 56th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.
Rest In Peace

Officer Golden, on this 52nd anniversary of your brutal murder I just wish to wish you well. I know you are up in Heaven looking down on the City of Chicago, keeping watch over its parks and recreation areas and the people who use them. I can only hope that those convicted, though just kids in some respects, served the entire sentence handed down. A small bit of justice for what they did.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

Although I was only six when your life was taken, I still remember how you use to tie mine and Michael's gym shoes together so that when we would stand up to run wouldn't be able to.
Madison Street always seemed like our own little safe haven with you and my Dad as our own Police Department to take care of us back then.
You were such a nice man, the City of Chicago lost one of the best that day.
God Bless you Bob and thanks for the memories.
