Remember you today February 14, 2019 the day we laid you to rest in 1987. Everybody tells me you went home with the Lord on Valentine's day due to the size of your heart. What can I say but how true that is. You gave your love and understanding not only to your family but to so many people we didn't know. I miss your huge bear hugs filled with your warm heart felt love and your amazing smile that would light up an entire room. You're never forgotten Dear Brother. I love you and miss you terribly.

My dear brother, I can't believe 31 years ago today, the good Lord called you home. Yes it's difficult at times knowing I can't pick up the phone to talk, hear your voice or to laugh at a joke you would say. I love you Steve. I miss you terribly but I know you're watching over us every day and night. Today's society is out of control. As you know we've lost so many brothers, sisters and K9s recently and throughout the years. It's so sad when I receive an alert of another family of Blue has been called home. I understand the pain families go through. I just wanted to let you know on the anniversary of your death that you're never forgotten. Never! I love and miss you forever.

Happy Thanksgiving my Dear Loving Brother. Today is 11/23/17. Holidays aren't the same without you but as one of us tells an event about you, you're suddenly in our hearts and I close my eyes to hear your laughter. The laughter that was so unique and welcoming. Continue to watch over us, all of the new rookies, of course our huge family of Blue. I am very thankful to be your lil sis and thankful for all of Law Enforcement who put their lives in harms way every time they leave their families to protect the people they love. You're never forgotten Dear Brother. I love you! "Heroes Live Forever"

Thinking of you especially today and always. Dear Brother I miss you terribly. You'll always be my Hero. So many years have past and even though it's been 29 years since God called you home, it always feels like yesterday. I know you're watching over us from heaven above. I want you to know you're never forgotten. I love you brother.

Hello Dear Brother, it's that time of year again when God called you home. I still find myself wondering why you were taken too soon. I know it's a question I shouldn't ponder on but Dear Brother your absence is a great deal of pain. You see what's happened to our loving family? Unbelievable! I pray daily for things to get better. My faith has become stronger than before and I know God listens to everything I say. I miss you terribly Brother! Sometimes I want to pick up the phone to call you just to hear your soothing voice for comfort. My memories of you are kept alive each and every day with all of the love and laughter that you've brought to our family. I have so many stories to tell my grandchildren. Their response is always "I wish we could've met him" they know how special you are to me and how I miss you every day. Every time an Officer is killed, it takes me back to the very day you were taken. I want to be there for those families. I'm trying to get some classes done so I'll be certified to do that. I'm doing this in honor of you Dear Brother. You were always there for so many people all hours of the day and night between your shifts. This is what I want to do. I'm also trying to make people aware of what our Law Enforcement Officers go through and to have more respect for them. They need to be acknowledged more and thanked for doing their life risking jobs. I Love You Forever! Thank you for being the best Brother anybody could ever have and for protecting us when you were here on earth. I know you're watching us from heaven above still protecting the people that you love.
Your sister,

I remember you very well as a youngster in Bullhead City, AZ. I remember that day on Hwy 95 near the intersection of what is now Lipan Blvd near the border of Fort Mohave and Mohave Valley. I remember the cross for you posted for years and years. I remember my little league coaches (all BHC officers) speaking of you at practice. RIP Sir. God speed.

Steve my heart is broken to hear that you have passed away. You took me in and took care of me when i needed a place to stay. You and your family were so kind to me. You always looked out for everyone and was willing to give a helping hand. Thank You. I know that you are still taking care of everyone in your own way. May you rest in peace.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.
