Reflections for Sheriff Jesse Garfield
I currently work in the Golden Valley County Courthouse and walk by the photos of Sheriff Jesse and Sheriff Ruth everyday. I have huge admiration for the courage and bravery these fine officers of our County showed during such a tragic event.
We will always remember both of our "Sheriff Garfields" here in Golden Valley County and thank them for their service and sacrifice.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the ninety-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
