Fred Ganter was my great grandfather by marriage. I remember as a young child my family would talk about Fred and his untimely death in the line of duty. Prayers for his memory and to all law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate price to the communities they served. God bless.

I said a little prayer today for Patrolman Ganter and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Your memory will always be honored and revered as time never diminishes respect.
Rest In Peace
