We had a snow storm the day before. I remember the phone ringing off the hood at our house. Both Officer Walt Busko and my dad riding on the back of a trash truck after being called into "work." I was eleven years old. Fussy was my dad's partner before deciding to head the new K-9 Corps. It is hard to think that this amount of time has past.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the fifty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today.

Rest In Peace

As I read all of the Reflections I could not help but note none were from anyone in CPD. As a nine and half year veteran of the canine unit I felt compelled to add my sadness of your passing. Your placket hung in all of the humble homes of "k-9". And you will always be remembered. God Bless you, and rest in peace Brother.
