It has been 76 years since you sacrificed in the performance of your duties. You will not be forgotten. Sadly on the same day you were killed another officer, Louis Furst, was also shot and killed in a separate incident. The officers of the CPD salute you.

We are so proud that you served in the Chicago Police Department. Your Grandson followed in your footsteps and served in the New Orleans Police Department. Your son Vince left us in 2005 and he is dearly missed. Hopefully you all are getting to spend some long lost time together now. Love, the Hanson, Stuart, and Furst families.
