Rest in peace, not forgotten.
Inv. Michael Walker
Tallahassee Police Department
25 years later, they still play the tape of your shooting in the academy. Guys who weren't even born when you were here know who you are. I like to think you know that you're teaching at the academy. I hope it makes you smile.
Rest well, Brother--we've got the beat covered.
God bless you my brother. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten by your brothers and sisters in blue.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Dept.
David was assigned to work with me after he came out of the academy. We spent several months together, becoming very close friends. Me the senior, him the rookie, we learned much from each other. At first glance his name tag appeared to say David L. "FriedChicken". It took two looks to get the name right for anyone. A lot of laughs came from this. After all the years now, I still miss you very much. You were my true friend. Rest in peace, David.
