Officer Ford is a true hero, my mother told me about his death, he was my great uncle. He would be proud to known he has retired and active law enforcement officers that are related to him. God bless him.

An obviously tragic and painful day for the New Orleans Police Dept. Though it's been 86 years today since this event, I still mourn your death, Brother.

God Bless you, Patrolman Ford and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.

Patrolman Ford was shot and killed on his daughter's first birthday. He left behind a wife, a daughter (age 1), and two sons (ages 2 [my dad] and 6). May God bless his soul and all others who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
