I know you as my great great grandfather. While I cannot carry on our family legacy as a law enforcement officer I will carry it on in the form of public service as a firefighter. Your legacy and sacrifice will always be remembered. You are a hero to the city of Chicago as well as our family. Gone but never forgotten!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 101rst anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I only know you by legacy, a few newspaper clippings, and family. I have been walking the same kind of beat and only a few officers have every been in our family. I'll meet you in heaven some day and we can talk about the job. You are not forgotten and reminders of you will always be visited. Love, your great grand daughter
