Today, on the 138th anniversary of your sacrifice, I just happened upon his site while looking for my fathers badge number. He too died in the line of duty for the Detroit Police Department. Ricktor Ace Gutwosky 1968. Your heroism is not forgotten.

Your watch ended 133 years ago. Bless you Officer Fillion and may others give you the courtesy and respect you deserve. I encourage people to go to the National Law Enforcement Museum in Washington D.C. and see the memorial dedicated to fallen officers.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 132nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Your watch ended 132 years ago, and you are still remembered. You were the first of a long list of heros of a magnificent police dept. Thank you, and rest in peace.
