Reflections for Police Officer Daniel J. Faulkner
Dear officer Faulkner,
I have a dark confession to make. I used to be involved in the punk rock movement. I used to hate cops. I used to burn the flag. I used to wear a shirt in support of your killer.
In tear now... all I can say is that I am so sorry. I was a stupid little kid. Thank God I grew out of it. I can only pray that others do too. Officer Faulkner, so many good men and women die every year in the persuit of justice you dedicated yourself to... that I plan to dedicate myself to... But I feel personally responsible for the guilt involved in having supported a man who MURDERED you just because it was the cool thing to do. It is for this reason that plan to have your badge # as my next tatoo. I am so so
so very sorry. i can hardly see through my tears as I write this message for you. I feel so bad for having never supported you. Please Please forgive me.
Love and Respect,
Richard Butler
