Reflections for Police Officer Daniel J. Faulkner
rest in peace danny, we will continue the fight against the corporations and bands(i won't say who, but we all know) who brainwash the youth of today to believe your killer is some kind of political prisoner. in reality your killer is nothing but a coward and a murderer.....................................

Rest in Peace Brother. We have the watch now...

We are not fooled.

Rest in Peace Danny, Mumia must not be allowed to have any more of these appeals. Gov. Ridge needs to put his foot down and say enough.

Having read and followed this for some time, the one thing that strikes me is how brave Officer Faulkner must have been to have still been able to wound the murderer after being shot once already. One of many worldwide who give their lives every year protecting the law abiding against the wicked, often its the criticism that seems to be loudest rather than the thanks, not that anybody ever asked to be thanked, but justice should be served.
I'm disgusted to hear that the murderer has been allowed to continually appeal against his just sentence. I firmly believe that he was guilty and should face the full penalty as anyone else would have to. If he has any remorse he will stop trying to score points and face the penalty, but somehow I doubt that will happen.
One day justice will be served. Rest in peace.

officer faulkner,
i hear about your story and it saddens me that we as citizens have sorrow and guilt for the way things end in our lives but words cant express how or why an officer is killed from my family to yours now 22 yrs later rest in peace i was only 2.5 when you were killed and i hope that one day this world will realize the pain and suffering that goes when a policeman or fire fighter is killed. it affects everyone not just the family or friend of the officer. I hope that you are continuing your watch from the streets of heaven and keep everyone here safe.
God Bless

Gently watching, your name I saying.
All I treasured I left on the sand there.
Close to you I will find other seas.

Officer Faulkner, I am saddenned everyday to see people support the movement to free the man guilty of your murder. I pray that God will give the American Justice System the strength and wisdom to do what is right and get on w/ the execution of your killer!!! If there's one thing that is cold comfort in this situation it's knowing that in the afterlife your path will never cross with his...I am 300% sure that someone such as him will never be allowed to even see the gates of Heaven. God Bless You, Officer Faulkner, Rest in Peace.
I also wanted to say that I was very moved by the note left above from Volunteer Richard Butler. It takes a big man to admit such a thing...and it takes an even bigger man to admit that he is filled w/ regret and sheds tears for that mistake. That you have turned your life around and are making a difference now is most commendable. Congratulations!!!
Sincerely,

Officer Faulkner, though i was not even born yet when this occured i still hear many people talking about your incident. I can not believe that in todays society that this type of act would turn your killer into a celebrity and also a person that Antioch College would have do their senior farewell speech it is just sickening to see people worship a cop killer.
But, also officer faulkner you have many Brothers and Sisters on "The Job" that care for you and live on while you are watching over them.

Danny,
It has been 22 years now since you were taken away from us,the members of the PPD. My dad knew you and as I so walk proudly in his footsteps,I am glad to have met you too.
May the soldiers of heaven join up side by side and may they have a leader as just and proud as you are.

To the family of Officer Daniel J. Faulkner.
My heart goes out to you for the untimely and tragic death of your Husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
We as officers know that ,every time we leave our home that it may be the last time we do so.However most of us live our lives to a higher standard, with higher ideals and a sence of purpose, that others can not know.
I did not know Officer Faulkner personnally, but I knew him nonetheless, and I mourn his loss as you do.
May the Lord, who watches over us all, bring you peace AND justice in this manner.God Bless You,S/Sgt James McConnell

Rest in Peace, Officer Faulkner. We haven't forgotten you. I have never accepted how the savage animal who murdered you in cold blood has become a twisted sort of folk hero. It makes me sick to think about the whole situation. We shall continue to carry the sword and take a stand against vicious criminals like your killer.
Officer M. Baetsch
Don't worry, Danny, we'll keep fighting for justice for you. They can take us one by one, but for every one they take, a hundred more come to take his or her place. We WILL win.
You would be so proud of Maureen, she refuses to give up or forget. It's been almost 21 years and still she fights on in your memory. You chose well, brother.

I'm so glad I didn't know

Thanks Danny.

Officer Faulkner was killed the year before I was born, yet his name and story still have been etched in my mind. Seeing footage of his killer's supporters on the news the last few years has really sickened me. I'll never understand how people can not even care about how police are willing to give their lives for them, and all too often do just that. When I am an offficer one day, I will be proud to have the honor of having the profession Officer Faulkner gave his life for. God bless his family and the Philadelphia PD, they've suffered so many losses.
