Reflections for Police Officer Daniel J. Faulkner

Danny,

I can't believe 24 years have passed. I first met you in 1981 when you worked the 6th district and I was a Burglar Alarm Investigator for A.D.T. Our office at the time was at 13th & Sansom and we used to stop and talk often when you worked last out. I remember you as a funny type of guy and a gentleman. I was working the night you were killed and in fact I was returning to my office when I saw the aftermath of what happened and when I found out it was you I was shocked and deeply saddened. I later became a police officer myself and your name comes up many times in conversation and my reply is always Danny died a true hero and I am outraged that so many people have jumped on the bandwagon to support the person that took your life. Your supporters outnumber the supporters of Jamal and we will never forget you. You began your new patrol assignment with GOD on 12-9-81 and heaven gained an officer and a gentleman. Have a SAFE TOUR!

Sincerely,
Sgt. John Witherup

Danny,
You are not forgotten. We will continue our fight for justice. Not a day goes by that I don't stop and think of you.

Justice will be served one day, for the Lord will have the ultimate judgement.

Dear Danny,
I remember the night you were murdered. At that time my husband was a Philadelphia Police officer. I remember the shock and sadness and anger that they were feeling of what happenend to one of their brothers doing his job and giving his life.
I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Maureen at a fund raiser in your name. What strength, and courage and devotion she has for you.And so many people continue the fight for your justice. Our entire family wear your shirts and pins and I knowI will never stop wearing them. Our son is now a Philadelphia Police Officer who holds you in such repspect of who you are.
God Bless you Danny You will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts and prayers and thank you for the sacrifice that you made on that terrible night.
This weekend was Law Enforcement weekend in wildwood NJ for all our Fallen Officers who have sacrificed their lives, protecting us. You and your fellow officers were talked about a lot this weekend and our whole family has attended this event since it began 5 years ago.
God keep you in His Love and Peace
Respectfully

Danny,
I continue to pray that "the big guy" upstairs intervenes in these peoples heads and allows the oxygen thief who killed you to be executed. I will pray every day that it happens soon. I will never forget you or your brave service.

I will also pray for strength for your wife. She is one of the strongest I know. I want her to know closure and have peace.

Officer Faulkner,
I've never met you. I dont even live in your state. I'm not even a Cop (YET!), but your story has truly effected and inspired me. What you did for the City of Phillidelphia was truly heroic. And I am confident taht justice WILL be served for you. Just remember: When Heaven needed a cop, they called Officer Daniel Faulkner, but hell is still waiting for your killer (we all know who that is).

If this savage isn't put to death, then there is no justice system in my mind. Rest in Peace Officer Faulkner.

Danny-
We are still fighting the good fight for you. The main page of the site will continue to carry our demand that Rendell (or whoever is in the Governor's mansion) takes action against Cook for his crime. We will also make sure that everyone knows about companies that support your killer!
We will not forget you, Danny...ever.

Danny,
As I ride to "the wall" this year, I will again see "you". I will NEVER forget you and your sacrifice. Thank you Brother.
I continue to pray for your wife. She is an outstanding person. I support her and all of her efforts. I will continue to stand with her not only when we finally get JUSTICE, but forever to seek justice for all of the COWARDS who kill my brothers and sisters.

I just happened to come across your
info while googling another officer
killed in the line of duty. Your story
is outrageous. Your killer should
have gone to his death LONG AGO.
It made me sick to read that he was
allowed to give a commencement
address from prison at a college in
my state's capitol. Well, consider
the source. My state is one of the
MOST LIBERAL there is, probably
just behind Mass. and alongside
Oregon. I appologize for their ignorance, especially since they are
an institution of "higher learning".
I can only hope justice is done in
this situation. I would hope he would
remain on death row and be executed. He's wasted too much of
the taxpayers' money already and he
needs to be gone. Either way, he
will one day face his Creator so he
will get his due. There is no greater
judge than God Almighty.
I admire his widow for still hangin'
in after all these years. Her pain is
never ending and her fight tireless.
We don't know God's purpose in all
this, but it certainly seems that Daniel, even from the grave, has
changed many lives and given others
a reason to carry on in his name.
Thank you for your tremendous
sacrifice, Daniel and I'm so sorry
your life was cut short at such a young age. You had so much more
left to accomplish. With love and
respect from one coast of America
to the other,
Lynn Kole

God bless the family and friends of Officer Faulkner. Despite what the out of touch celebrities and activists say, the fight for justice will continue, and this hero will never be forgotten.

It is a sad time in the world when a cop killer is praised by celebrities like Mike Farrel of M*A*S*H* fame and corporations like Ben & Jerries. These people lack respect for the Law Enforcement Officers that enable them to live in the safety they have enjoyed. I expect them to next make a hero of Bin Laden and spit on the war heroes as they return home!! God bless Officer Dan Faulkner and all the heroes in law enforcement and all branches of the armed services.

Danny,

I visited you today to read the latest updates in our hunt for justice, but I suppose you know that. Know that NO ONE has forgotten you and that one day justice will be meted on your behalf and your gracious wife and family will finally rest easy. I wear one of your t-shirts under my uniform all the time, and it serves to keep me thinking tactical and remember your sacrifice. Hopefully this winter I can get up to Finigans Wake and we'll hoist one for you. Thinking of you...

"This is my shield. I bear it before me into battle, but it is not mine alone. It protects my brother on my left. It protects my city. I will never let my brother out of its shadow nor my city out of its shelter. I will die with my shield before me facing the enemy."

Today, I watched an A&E channel report about the incidents of Officer Faulkner's death. As the story went on, it went from discussing Officer Faulkner, to a story of his murderer, almost a biography! I truly thought I would get to hear more about this courageous officer. Yet, I was watching the celebrities who are "campaigning" for your killer. No longer did we hear from your wife, family, and friends. Just the politicians, actors, and worst of all these "activist". I urge all fellow Law Enforcement officers to research who is supporting this CONVICTED MURDERER! The next time you watch a movie with Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, or Mike Farrell, think of Officer Faulkner, and his widow. Then think of these celebrities who are trying to free his killer. Thank you for your service and ultimately, your sacrifice. I also thank your wife and fellow officers, who continually fight for you. I urge all officers, deputies, troopers, etc. to research this issue. I have already spoke with fellow officers throughout Georgia to boycott the above named actors, along with Ben and Jerry's Ice cream, who incidentally continue to fund the killer's defense.

Danny,
I don't know how anyone can support a killer let alone a cop killer. You served us well and for that we all thank you. I know God is Blessing you. Rest Easy.

May 19, 2004

Danny,
Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. No matter how many "stars (cowards)" protest, no matter how many corporations give, we will never tire. We will never let anyone forget you. You are the HERO. You are the victim. You are the good guy. We will never let that go.

To Mrs Faulkner,
I support you and I support your efforts. I will never forget you or your husband. I will never let my children know he was there to protect them. I will never let anyone who can hear me forget that your husband was a true HERO. I pray for you every day to continue to have the strength you have.

Officer Faulkner,
The circumstances surrounding your untimely death sadden everyone in our area to this day. We pray for your family and hope that they know that you are not forgotten.
My brother, Richie, was the one who told me about what happened to you when I was a little kid...I remember how truly hurt he was that people were "supporting" your killer. He became a cop and this past July lost his life in the line of duty. The pain is unbearable but we will make it through. We have seen your family so strong over the last 20yrs and it gives us hope and comfort.
Thank you for your protection and if you see Richie up there, tell him his little sister misses him but our family is hanging in.

Rest in Peace,
Erin Lawn
