Anthony Burton was a great friend of mine, the two of us were a part of the National Law Enforcement Explorers program in 1983. This program was established by the Jennings County Sheriff's Dept.
The tragedy that took my friends life will never be forgotten. This message is to let all know, Anthony was a great friend and because of him, I started my career in Law Enforcement.
Anthony, you are sadley missed and never forgotten.

Wow...reading the small description of what happened I have to wonder if the suspect was charged. I mean, surely there was some type of charge for the murder of 2 police officers. I know it's not like he opened fire on them with an assault rifle or anything, but he still killed them as sure as if he had shot them. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the 2 officers lost. May their sacrifice never be forgotten. God Bless!!!
