Your heroism and service is honored today, the 134th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I am glad that in recent years you were remembered with a new tombstone.

Rest In Peace.

Dear officer Fahey my brother officer. I am now retired from the Austin Police Dept. I used to patrol the same streets in Austin that you did. You and I have a kinship because as police officers we all faced the same risks while protecting the public. A few years before I retired I attended a ceremony at your grave site as you were honored with a new headstone. And again while visiting your grave on a recent trip to Austin I again paid my respects at your final resting place. Your name shall live on and not be forgotten for the sacrifice you made. You have all my respect.
