It's hard to believe that it's been thirty years since this happened. I helped teach Mark in the Academy and was his FTO and then used to partner with him regularly. I remember that Friday night like it happened yesterday. I remember going to his parents home to notify them. No, I will never forget tat night or the sensless loss of a good frend. Rest in God's arms, Mark.

Mark
It’s soon to be 28 years since you and Scott were taken from us by a thoughtless drunk driver. So many L. E. O’s have been taken from family and friends by The one thing that can be so easily prevented yet people still get behind the wheel after they’ve been drinking I’ll never understand why. I miss you my friend. I hold true to my promise you’ll never be forgotten and always remembered.

Mark it’s been almost 29 years when I first met you at the reserve academy. I saw this kid who didn’t look old enough to be out of high school. You tagged along with Steve S and I like a puppy dog. You were so anxious to learn. When you graduated from the reserve academy you couldn’t wait to go out and use everything you learned. I still remember how your uniform fit. You still looked so young but you grew up so much. You were ready to tackle the world. I will always remember you.

Mark,
I think of you often when I travel I-84. The kindred spirit we shared in both law enforcement and in music. It's been nearly 25 years since we traveled to Japan and Korea together with the PYP. Your big brother persona was so appreciated in those days. I realize this posting is more for us then it is for you, but deep down inside I hope you somehow feel our appreciation for the way you positively affected our lives. You are missed and fondly remembered.

Well Mark 20 years have passed unbelievable. I lost another friend last week, Ken Celorie. Why dose it seem like all the good things in life go away so quickly? And the bad things seem to stick around? wow 20 years yet I remember it like yesterday. I guess I always will. I tried to contact your dad a few months back but was unable to I hope he and your brother are safe and healthy. Again Mark I said you and Scott will never be forgotten. I do remember you and miss your friendship.

Mark - this Sunday it's 19 years. I will be at Cannon Beach - one of youre favorite places. I plan to take time out of the day to celebrate your life and the memories I had with you. I think of you often and what a man of God you were. I know you are walking with Him now and experiencing the joy of being in His presence. I think much of how it will great to see you in heaven - but even more wonderful it will be to see my Lord. You are missed. . . everyday.

Well Mark 16 years have pasted. WOW I sure understand now what mom & dad ment when they said "don't try and grow up to fast, one day you will wounder where the years went." How true I can't believe it's been 16 years since God called you home. But I still remember you Scott and the friendship we shared. You and Scott will always be remembered. Be sure to welcome three brothers in blue from Oakland Calif PD and pray for Officer John Hege who is fighting for his life. All four were shot today by some gutless so and so and it all stated from a traffic stop.
Good bye for now Mark and thank's for looking out for us all.
