I too am a police officer in Tucson, Arizona where I have served for over 30 years (close to retirement). My name, George Eppley. I also honor Philadelphia Officer George Eppley from nearly 100 years Ago who died in the line of duty. I am proud to served, if only in same name under this hero. Let us never forget the fallen officers and remember the thin blue line. George Eppley from 1917 didn't have the definition but nevertheless served dividing good from evil.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 93rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
