Your heroism and service is honored today, the 116th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 116 years.

Rest In Peace

Marshal Emerson - Thanks for your service to both the people of Alamosa and the State of Colorado. I stood in the State Assembly hall, yesterday, when your name was read off during a proclamation for next month's Peace Officer's Memorial Week and Day. We will wear our mourning bands for you and the almost 250 other brother and sisters. May God grant you eternal rest and may his perpetual light shine upon you.
