Reflections for Officer William Elliott

Thank you for your service and please know that no passage of time will ever erase your sacrifice. Rest in peace always.

Detective Cpl/3 Steven Rizzo
Delaware State Police (Retired)

Never is the time to defund our officers in blue. William Elliott was what all these brave officers came to do protect citizens. . He was in his 20’s, when he was killed. Had a young family and one on the way. Sadly, 128 years later we still see innocent lives being taken..all colors of skin, all walks of life.it’s happening now, nothing has changed. One thing for sure is the realization that now more than ever the public needs these officers to serve and protect.
William Elliott was my Great Grandfather. I will honor his memory and all the others that have gone before him and after. Bless your soul and rest knowing you did not die in vain.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 120th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

I have been trying for several years to find more information on Officer Elliott for his grandson, my brother-in-law Curly also went into law enforcement and is retired from LAPD.
I stumbled upon this page while doing research. I am happy to see him honored here. May God Bless all those that gave their lives in the line of duty.

I don't really know what to write other than "Thank You" for all your service. My grandpa has this same picture up in his dining room. He is a retired police officer and so is my uncle. Thank you again!

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
