Reflections for Sergeant Charles E. Eichhorst
I wish I could have known you. My father, George Eichhorst, was your first cousin and he told me many stories of the fun times you two had and that you owned a boat together. I know my father misses you and hopefully he finds you in heaven. Thank you for your service.

Time marches on but memories remain forever. As a firefighter I know the final call of some are hard to accept, but knowing they did their best for all the rest is at least a comfort knowing.......they mattered. RIP SGT. Eichhorst, stand down, you did your best and we REMEMBER!

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

He was a devoted husband to our mother Jean, and loving father to his son Chuck and myself.
To the many Boys and Girls Clubs in Chicago, he was "Santa".
He loved being a police officer.
