Scott and I are double cousins. Our fathers are brothers, our mothers are sisters. We grew up together, we both served in the U.S. Army and we both went into law enforcement. I consider Scott my brother in more ways than one. It was Scott who encouraged me to get into law enforcement after he went to work for Chelan County. Besides being my brother, he was my best friend. The day he died was the worst day of my life. And for the rest of my life, I will miss him.
