I was in attendance today as a member of FDNY Ladder 24. I would like to say that today’s ceremony was a very touching tribute to who I learned, was a great cop as well as a great man. The words spoken by the Sergeant and also by his best friend moved me considerably. I hope Officer Dwyer is resting peacefully, and his family and friends find comfort in knowing how he touched so many people.

Attending today’s ceremony reinforced the love and pride I continue to feel to this very day of having been a member of the most elite Police force in the world.
To stand on the steps of South with the great men and women who had the distinct honor and privilege of working along side of Tony was overwhelming. For 30 years we have carried this hero in our hearts. His legacy will never be forgotten as long as we draw breath here on earth. Until we meet again dear freind...you are forever a part of us and forever in our hearts. God bless the entire Dwyer family.

I went to grammar school with officer Anthony Dwyer. I moved away from the neighborhood. Lost contact. One day while waiting for tickets to go see Aerosmith Anthony was on the line and even though I didn't see him in a few years because I moved away from the neighborhood he came over and talked to me and we were laughing and having a great time. He was a great guy he had a good soul. And just a wonderful person to be around nobody has ever forgotten office Dwyer

I am Angela McMinn Daughter of Chief Andrew Williams EOW 09/03/1976 I also am the coordinator of Officer Down's no parole program and am working on my June report of upcoming paroles. Officer Dwyers Killer is on here. I always try to read all of an officers reflections because here is where I can come to know an officer where I cant in news Articles.
I learned several things on this One. He was way too young to be taken from all who love him. He was shaping up to be one hell of a cop. His family was amazing and he liked his beer. I would say there is a real good chance he has had a few with my dad in Heaven. If there is ever anything that I can do for his family Blood or Blue you can email me at [email protected].

Anthony, I think of you often. I recall our time together on the Deuce and your passion for being a NYC Police Officer. An unwelcoming anniversary is coming up in the middle of October and I wanted to let you and your loved ones know, you have not been forgotten. You are all in my prayers.
I'm curious, does the Big Guy let you dress-up as Santa Claus at Christmas time? I hope He does because there's no one jollier than you. God bless you!

I met Anthony's father at a friend of mine's party for his promotion to Detective. I have a mind and mouth that never stops or stutters. After I was introduced, I had no words. Only tears... May God bless him, and all the friends and family our brothers leave behind... There is a special corner of heaven waiting for all of us...

Anthony, I came to know you through your best friend. It was by chance that I was lured to look you up recently. I was remembering what a short life you lived, and the ultimate sacrifice you made. Thinking about your family and how they are missing you! I have select friends in the NYPD and many acquaintances in the NYPD. It is incredible that the person who you encountered on that day I have just read, is coming up on parole this month. June 2016. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. My nephew has just joined the NYPD to the 79th precinct. Please watch over all of us. That is a huge request that I trust you are already taking care of. You were always helpful and watching out in the living from what I have heard of you. I am sure that hasn't changed. Wishing you all the best always! Thinking of you, all of our prayers are with you! Rest in peace, God bless you and your family!

I still remember the tour I rode with him over a 12 hr shift: I was a rookie cop in training from Midtown South. It was the day the dept issued the Sgt's exam. We worked together in patrol thru that night. RESTING IN PEACE... Can never forget a fallen brother....

It's been 26 years since you were taken from us. The hurt and loss is still as strong as it was that day. I think about you everyday and wish you were hear to talk to. I know you are working overtime up there walking over all of us and keeping us safe. You are my hero Ant. Love always your little sister xoxo
