I knew Dan long before I worked with him at Inkster P.D. (1973-1978). I went thru grade school and high school with him. He joined the department while I was still working patrol there. I knew his mom and dad and brothers. Dan would have probably made Sergeant or Lieutenant some day. One of the nicest guys you would ever want to know. I went to the funeral representing my present Police Department (Carrollton P.D. Carrollton, Texas). I worked with Ira Parker also and he was a great officer. I miss them to this day and often think of them.

I worked with Dan for a short period of time. I know that he was a great family man and a respected officer. May you R.I.P. DAN. You are always im my thoughts.

***IFD and Macko**** ---
you may have known my dad, Michael Pelkey, who was partners with Dan for a long time. If so, please let me know. This is his daughter, and Mike is sick and i would love any connection wtih his old Inkster world for him. It has been too long and too sad and tragic for everyone.
Please,
Jennifer Pelkey

This is my "uncle Dan" who left 15 years ago. It is almost embarrassing that we have no contacts with the others that remember him - he is such a perfect memory to me in my then adolescent world. I am Michael Pelkey's daughter, would love to contact all the Dubiel's - it has been too long. I have my dad - Mike - and my mom and sister Michelle here in Colorado. Maybe, by some great chance, I can help him reconnect before he is unable too (my dad - Mike).
Always a perfect memory Uncle Dan --

Officer Dubiel was Dad's partner for a few years. I often wonder why they weren't together on that fateful day. I can only be thankful to God for keeping Dad safe on that day and be eternally grateful that the Lord welcomed one of the Best in Blue into his house.

I was an Inkster PO from 1974 through 1983 and remember Dan since attending Cherry Hill High School. I was partnered with Dan and Ira off and on during those years. Dan and Ira taught me well during those years and are greatly missed. I doubt if anyone is still around from those years but if they are please say hello and I miss them. Those years were some of the best ones of my life as the guys at INPD were the greatest. Guys, gals, keep safe and always back each other up.
