On this 53rd anniversary date in which Trooper William G. Doyle's life was tragically taken from his family, extended LEO family and friends, we give his life meaning by never ever forgetting William. I also like to acknowledge William's brother Jack who also was a devoted member of the New York State Police. May both William and Jack souls rest peacefully.

I was an altar boy and served the funeral at St John's Church in Oswego. Even at that young age and so long ago I still remember how impressed I was at the number of law enforcement officers in attendance. God bless.

Trooper William G. Doyle will never ever be forgotten. He was a true hero as he gave his life to protect the public. May his soul forever rest in Heaven.

Trooper Doyle's brother, Senior Investigator Jack Doyle was also a well respected member of the New York State Police. I attended his funeral out of a deep respect for him due to his dedication and devotion to the New York State Police and to the people of Oswego County. I am 100 percent positive Trooper William G. Doyle was as dedicated and devoted to the New York State Police and to the people of Oswego County. Thanks to both Jack Doyle and William Doyle.

Sad day when I attended his Funeral as a rookie on the Rochester, NY Police Department. Having just returned from Vietnam the year before it brought back vivid memories of just how fragile life is and how the unexpected can happen oh so fast.

Thank you for your service. My mom told me when I was young of a cousin who was a New York State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty. She never told me who it was. I am a former police officer, and am very proud to come from a family of those who serve in law enforcement and the military.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I have mixed feelings about your brother being the first responder. I hope it comforted him to be with you rather than torturing him. I pray for the solace of all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace.
