To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 49th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I am not sure how to approach this - I am the Great Grand Nephew of the man that committed these crimes. I learned of this atrocity from the memory of his sister, my Grandmother. All though I personally did not take the lives of these heroes - I feel such a sense of grief knowing that this man's blood partly flows through my veins. I was shocked when I learned of this - I am so sorry for the weakness and cowardly act by my Great Grand Uncle and pray these fallen hero's and their families have found peace.
