I appreciate your sacrifice. I had many relatives work at Marquette Branch and I am sure you new some...I am happy to see they re-named a stretch of US-41 in Marquette in your honor.

I thank and honor you Earle for your service. I, too, served as a CO. I served at Jackson State Prison from June 1985 - January 1988.

I attended the class named after Earle F. DeMarse. I stressed out January 1988 right after two fellow officers were murdered in Jackson State Prison in 1987.

My hats off to you for your brave service.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 39th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect. Your memory will always be remembered and revered.

Rest In Peace

Hi Grandpa:
I just found this memorial page today or I would have posted sooner. I don't know what to say or where to start. I never got to meet you. You were taken from us before I was born. So, all the things that I wish I could have said to you, I will try and say now. I love you even though I haven't met you. Grandma told me so many wonderful stories about you. Me and Amy always asked her questions about you and she told us as much as she could. I practically lived at the house when I was growing up. Grandma has always been a huge part of my life. I love her with all my heart. I always felt your presence there. She loved you so much.

Thank you for your brave work, for your courage. You are a hero. We will never forget. You are always in our hearts, always remembered. You have left a legacy in our family and are terribly missed. I am so proud to be your grandaughter. I am so proud of you. I love you. See you in heaven.

On today, the 32nd anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Michigan. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.
