To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I never met my grandfather but my Gramma Jenny and my mother made sure that I knew who he was.
I wish I had a chance to meet him.

Great Grandpa DeCarli
I loved Grama Jen and I would love to have met you too. I believe you set the example for your only son who was my father, John Joseph DeCarli (1911-1996). I can only piece together your life from stories I have heard and things I have read. I do know first hand what a father should be because of the man my Dad was. It is my hope that you are together in Heaven and that we will be together someday.
