Rest in peace always knowing that your memory, service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 73rd anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Phyllis Lasater Loya
mom of fallen Pittsburg (CA) officer Larry Lasater

You are a hero who has given the ultimate sacrifice. Your, then 9 year old, son (Robert Jr.) turned 80 years old this past July. I was fortunate enough to meet him during a call for service He is alive, well and still misses his father.

You would be very proud of your son. You are never forgotten. God bless you.

Although I had just turned only nine when you died, in 1940, I remember you and still love you now as the year 2005 is close to beginning in just a few days. Augmenting the "direct" memories, I remember grown-ups, after your death, who sought me out to tell me, with what I thought was a note of pride in their voices, "I knew your Father." What a Legacy to leave behind you, although I did not realize that back then, when I listened with tears in my eyes at your funeral as someone sang your favorite (Welsh) hymn/carol, "All Through the Night." Thanks for that Legacy, Dad.
