I did not know you, but your wife was my Camp Fire Girl leader and your Daughter Carolyn was in our group. Joyce, your younger daughter was also in band with us. You would have been proud of both of your girls. Your wife never forgot you and loved you til the day she died.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. It is unfortunate that corruption was at the root cause of your death.

Rest In Peace
