Reflections for Corrections Employee Joseph J. Cushman

My grandfather, my hero. He did not deserve what happened to him. He was loved by all, even inmates because he never treated them like criminals, he treated them just like regular human beings. His death tore our family to pieces to never truly be put back together again. I have not forgave his murderer and I will have to answer to GOD when my day comes but at least the person that killed him is rotting in hell! RIP grandpa, can't wait to see you on the other side.

Officer Cushman,
On today, the 40th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the twenty-seventh anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for your family.

Rest In Peace

Mr. Cushman,
On today, the 23rd anniversary of your murder, I would like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Illinois. At least, the piece of scum who murdered you never got to walk free again.
